Recipes
Raw Cherry Granola
- ¼ cup mixed raw nuts and seeds (almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, pecans)
- 2 heaped tablespoons raw rolled oats
- 1 to 2 heaped tablespoon(s) ground flax seeds
- 1 heaped tablespoon hemp seeds
- ½ teaspoon of Cinnamon powder (optional) or Brown Sugar
- 2 tablespoons dried cherries Buy Now ››
- Milk (Can also use rice, almond or soy milk)
Combine ingredients in a bowl and serve. Serves One
Cherry Brownies
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 120gms semi-sweet chocolate
- 90gms unsweetened chocolate
- 1 ¼ cup sugar (or lite agave nectar)
- 1 cup silken tofu
- ½ cup Sunflower oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ¾ cup whole wheat flour (or spelt flour)
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- 1 cup dried cherries, chopped coarsely in food processor Buy Now ››
- Preheat oven to 180° C, Gas mark 4
- Line an 8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper and lightly dust with cocoa powder
- In a Bain Marie (water bath), melt semi-sweet and unsweetened chocolate over medium heat, stirring continuously. When nearly melted, add cocoa powder, mix well and allow remaining chocolate to melt
- Combine the sugar (or agave nectar), tofu, oil, and vanilla in a large bowl, mixing well with a spatula or spoon.. Stir in melted chocolate then add the flour, baking powder, salt and cherries
- Pour batter into baking pan and spread evenly. Bake in center of oven for 35 minutes. Test to see if it is completely cooked through by inserting toothpick into center of pan. If toothpick comes out clean, it is done
- Remove from oven and allow to cool, in the pan for 1 ½ to 2 hours
- Cut into squares and serve
High Protein Cherry Smoothie
This recipe includes flax seed oil in order to lower glycemic response of the smoothie while adding the tremendous health benefits of Omega 3’s found in flax.
- 2 scoops vanilla whey protein powder
- 1 tablespoon flax seed oil
- 30 ml cherry concentrate Buy Now ››

- One handful sliced almonds
- Dash vanilla extract (optional)
- 200 ml water or milk
Blend in a bender on high speed until well blended. Serves one.
