Barbara M. Mendez, RPh, MS

Barbara Mendez, is a registered pharmacist and holds a Master’s Degree in Nutritional Science. She is a consulting nutritionist in private practice in New York City. She is also the New Product Development Director of Cherry Essentials.

Barbara is also a certified Hatha Yoga instructor. Barbara studied pharmacy at St. John’s University and in 1989 earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. She worked in various well known alternative pharmacies around Manhattan and was one of the first pharmacists in the City to work with and compound Bio-Identical hormone replacement therapy and is considered an expert in this holistic modality.

It was while working in these alternative pharmacies that she developed an interest and respect for the healing powers of alternative medicine. This led her to pursue her Master’s Degree in Nutritional Science, graduating from the University of Bridgeport’s Masters Program with top honors. She is the author of the monthly newsletters, Blue Essentials, Cherry Essentials, and Elements, written for her private practice.

She is also the in-house Nutritionist for the Harvard club of New York City. Barbara splits her time between New York City and the UK. She is available for private consultations and corporate lectures in the UK.
